It was a very short but sweet visit to Destin. We had so much fun being together. It was a great time to just get away and be refreshed and revived. We enjoyed relaxing on the beach, caught a couple of movies, and did a little shopping. But what we enjoyed the most was just being together. I'm so thankful for the blessing Mike is. It was great to laugh together, spend time talking (uninterrupted........which is rare these days!), and crankin' up the stereo (something we always did together til tiny ears were in the car)!
Thanks mom and dad! You survived your first weekend with the girls by yourselves! You haven't lost your touch :) I know the girls had a great time!
Gotta love the beautiful white sand!

We're headed to the beach for a couple of days! Mom and dad have been so sweet to take the girls for the weekend while Mike and I head to Destin, FL. We are so excited to have some time together! Thanks so much Mom and Dad!

Emma said something really sweet again tonight as I was tucking her into bed. We had just finished reading a story and she said:
"Mommy, I love you more than the grass, the trees, the flowers, and the butterflies. I love you so much."
It brought tears to my eyes.

My friend Laura Lynn made these for my baby shower and they were such a hit that I made some for Christie's shower. This picture is of the pacifiers Laura Lynn made, I did not get a chance to take a pic of the ones I made.
But if you are interested in making these ever, here is the recipe:
1. Make a batch of royal icing. Using a wire whisk, beat together 1/4 cup cold water and 3 tablespoons meringue powder until foamy. Whisk in 2 cups confectioners sugar.2. Using a clean paint brush, use royal icing to 'glue' two mints together. Place flat side down and allow to dry 'handle' side up.3. Use royal icing to 'glue' jellybean into the hole of the top mint. When completely dry, tie with a ribbon.

Emma and Great Grandma were playing Casino Yahtzee! Don't worry, she made up her own rules!
Not sure what Emma's doing here, but Grandma's always such a good sport :)Posted by Amy at 6/12/2008 0 comments
My sister-in-law, Amy took some really great pics when she last visited in April. I just recieved them on a cd in the mail today. So, I thought I'd share some of them with you all! Thank you, Amy!

Lili was about 2 months old in this pic taken at Bridgestreet Town Centre.
Emma loves the carousel!
Mimi and the girls!
Lili in her sling at the zoo, she slept in this sling for 3 1/2 hours! I was so glad I bought it!

Lili was going on her sixth hour of napping when I took this picture, although I couldn't bring myself to wake her, she did finally wake up about 30 minutes later. Maybe it was the fact that I was vacuuming :) By that time I had just about the entire house vacuumed! She's a very sound sleeper, I just hope she sleeps for me tonight!
I can't believe she's just about 4 months old! She's been such a sweet baby, very easy going! In this picture she has the same two fingers in her mouth that Emma's sucks (notice the present tense.....we are still working on that).

This makeup has to be the best stuff on earth! I just absolutely love it. I have been wearing it for about a year now and I've only had to reorder it once! It lasts forever and feels so good on my face. I forget I even have any makeup on! But what really sold me on it was this slogan.......
Not that I do..........at least not all the time :) But I have tried it and found it true, this makeup really is all it's cracked up to be. Do any of you use Bare Minerals?

Mike loves working with our College and Career group at church. He and his good friend Micah have been putting alot of time, effort, and heart into growing this area of our church. "The Coffee Shop" is still under construction but we are praying that it will be a place where college and singles can come together and grow deeper in their relationship with the Lord and have a Passion for Him! Please pray for this ministry, specifically as it's just getting on it's 'feet' that God will be glorified and magnified and that His fame would spread throughout this ministry and into our community!
I REALLY like our sign/logo! Katie from our college group worked this up for us! I think she did a great job!

We've started doing a reward system at home, basically to encourage good behavior, helpfulness, and respectfulness. Well, if Emma got all smiley faces on her "Cheerfulness Chart" then she would be able to go to the Kung Fu Panda movie on Friday so I am planning on taking Emma to see this tomorrow! I know that I'll enjoy it just as much as she will, b/c I think Jack Black is absolutely hilarious! Are any of you planning on seeing this?

***Caution: Explosive Content****
Well, Sunday mornings around here can be quite a whirlwind, trying to get us all out the door on time for church! Throw in a massive poop and you've got chaos! But isn't that just typical :) I mean us moms are supposed to be running at least 20 minutes ahead of schedule so as to allow for any "unexpected" incidents that might interfere with our striving efforts towards timeliness right? HA! If I'm out the door and in the car, all kids are buckled in, and my hair somewhat put together, then we are GOOD!
Well, Lili's gone quite a few days without having a bowel movement and I knew it should be any day now. But I also knew it would probably be the "one" of the century b/c ya know she's got to make up for lost time right?
Well, needless to say she poops in the car as we are nearing church, it goes all in her car seat, I mean down through the buckles and everything! Thankfully, I did have a backup outfit and my mom! B/c as soon as we got to church mom changed Lili while I took care of my 3 and 4 yr old SS class.
All I'm saying is "Thank Goodness for Moms!" and I think Lili was saying "Thank Goodness for Grand moms!"
This is a picture of the girls together this morning before church. I thought they looked so cute in their matching dresses! Too bad they didn't make it through church that way!
