Time For Tea!

Emma was invited to her first Tea Party today! She, along with her cousins Maria and Kennedy drank "tea" aka Apple Juice and ate homemade cookies. They loved it and had so much fun playing dress up with their feather boas, beautiful hats, and necklaces. What a sweet memory that was made. Can't wait to do it again!

Just a Reminder

It was an encouraging reminder when I read this today. I thought I would pass it along to all of you. Being both wife and mother have been the two biggest blessings God has sent my way. And although I find myself sometimes trying to keep a spotless house, I realize THAT is not what this life is about. There will always be clothes to fold and dishes to wash. But there will not always be little giggles and squeals or kisses on the nose from my little girl.

Some houses try to hide the factThat children shelter there; Ours boasts of it quite openly, The signs are everywhere. For smears are on the windows, Little smudges on the door; I should apologize, I guess, For toys strewn on the floor But I sat down with the children And we played and laughed and read; And if the doorbell doesn't shine, Their eyes will shine instead. For when at times I'm forced to choose The one job or the other; I want to be a housewife, But first I'll be a mother.

MEAM

Emma's learning how to spell her name. We've got the letters right, we just have to work a little on the order! I thought it was too cute though and had to take a picture of the first time she spelled her name!

Tent Time!

Yesterday we made a fort out of our dining table. It was just the perfect size to fit her pillow, blanket, a few stuffed animal friends, and of course me and Emma! We grabbed a flash light and enjoyed reading a few books to each other!

A little dusting...but ALOT of fun!

This is what we woke up to this morning! Just a little bit of snow, but Emma had so much fun playing and stomping around in it. These were taken at about 7:45 am. As soon as she woke up she couldn't wait to get outside and play!
