School Days.....

This is a picture of Emma, dressed and ready for school.....or college, as she likes to call it! I don't think I'm ready for that yet :(

Don't get me wrong, I miss my little Emma when she's at school but it does give me some one-on-one time with Lili. She's starting to sit up with a little help from mommy!

I was browsing through some old photos that I had downloaded to the computer a while back and thought I'd share them with all of you!

This picture was taken in Auburn at a costume party a friend of mine had. We were dating and dressed up as "ravers" using some of Mike's brother Johnathon's clothes! Check out Mike's slicked back "do", I did that!

While we were dating, we came to Huntsville for a concert with some friends. Here we are with Mike's brother Johnathon, Leshay (on my left) and Holly (on my right)! These are my girls!

This was taken on my first visit to Huntsville, this was in the parking lot of our now church home! This picture was taken about 10 years ago, can you tell? Mike's sister Christie's on my left and Amy on my right.

Mike lived in Alaska with his uncle for about 3 months before we were engaged. Here is a pic of him skiing with his uncle!

College Road Trip!

Some guys from our college group at church moved down to Auburn this past week. So a group of us went down on Friday and Saturday. We had so much fun!

We had so much fun this past weekend. But, I'm so exhausted! I'm not as young as I used to be. Hanging out til 2:00 a.m. really tires me out!

Emma's First Day at School!

Big changes are taking place around the Cranston house! Emma started 4 year old kindergarten last Thursday. She will be going twice a week, she was so excited when we finally shared the news with her. Although, I had registered her back in March, I didn't tell her til July b/c I knew the questions "How many days til I start school?" and "Do I start school this day?" would start coming every single day!

Well, Thursday came and she was a little hesitant although the entire time leading up to it she was so excited. But she walked right into the class, picked up a toy, said her good-byes, gave us hugs, and we were off! She had a really good time, made some new friends, and told us she'd like to go back :)

To celebrate her birthday, Mike's mom went skydiving last Saturday! She went with her sister and father who was also celebrating his 85th birthday! They had alot of fun!

Notice Anything Different?

Emma got her ears pierced today! Yep, today at lunch out of the blue she says, "Mommy, can I get my ears pierced today?" Mike and I have been leaving this decision up to her, we felt that it would be okay when she was ready. So.........I told her that would be okay and we headed off to the mall to get it done.

I just knew we'd be walking back to the car with one ear pierced and one not , but she was soooo brave! They pierced both at the same time, so I didn't have to worry about talking her into enduring the next one :) She sat in my lap, sat really still, let them do their job, and only shed a few tears afterwards. She saw herself in the mirror and smiled really big at her new pierced ears!
When daddy saw her, he teared up at the sight of his growing little girl. Can't believe how fast time flies. Seems just like yesterday that she was in my arms, now she starts 4 yr. old kindergarten in a couple of days!

Princesses

Emma and I had a little talk the other day about being princesses b/c God, our heavenly father is the King of all Kings. Well tonight at supper this is what she said, "Thank you God that me and mommy are princesses and that daddy is a prince and that you are the greatest King of the whole wide world."

Isn't that sweet? :)

We saw Wall-E!

For a special night out with just our oldest, Mike and I took Emma out for movie and pizza. We had alot of fun and I think she really enjoyed having mommy and daddy all to herself again :)

Hello There!

Boy, are we glad to have daddy back! We missed him sooo much while he was away in Slovakia! After "moving" back in to our house last weekend, we have just spent this week getting back to normal or as close to normal as we can. What is normal anyway? Anyways..... I haven't posted because well, frankly I haven't taken any pics at all this week....until today. We have a drool machine these days! I think some teeth may be on their way :) All Lili does is gnaw and drool, stick her fingers in her mouth and gnaw and drool. She's still a pleasant baby in spite of all the teething. She learned lots of new tricks while daddy was away. She's started reaching out for her toys, she's found her toes, and she loves to bounce in her jumperoo. She's growing so fast!
