More Reno Pics

The house is beginning to take shape. Mike has been hard at work with our contractors and plumber finishing the framing, putting all new plumbing in and electrical. It has definitely been a long haul but completely worth it. I think it was just the right time for us to do this, our family will enjoy alot of years in this house we are making our home. God's timing has been perfect. That doesn't mean it has been easy though. I am learning to be patient and enduring our small apartment that seems to get smaller by the day. But God is good. And this house is such a gift. I can't wait to move in and be a part of the neighborhood!

Above and below are pictures of the master bath shower/garden bath.

I have to say I am so excited about this shower! This is one of my favorite parts of the house.

We are able to keep the bead board up on the ceiling in the master bath hallway, we are installing some recessed lights ( that's why the hole is there).

This is the view from the front door looking into the living area and on through to our bedroom. We had to tear down the wall that separated them due to termite damage inside the wall. Mike found it when he was tearing out one side of the wall to put in insulation, so he had to go ahead and tear it completely out to remove the damaged studs. This wall is not load bearing and the damage is not from active termites.

We are installing recessed "eyeball" lights along the ceiling of the kitchen.

This is one of the studs that had termite damage.
Hopefully soon I'll have more pics to post!

A Prayer

What I want more than anything on this earth is for my children to call you Lord, Father, Friend.

You've been my everything, you've brought me through trial, temptation, good times, hard times. You've brought me through every phase of life and given me peace when I had questions that needed answers.

You've given me understanding and direction.

Just as I so desperately need you and depend on you for every breath; for life, I pray that my little ones will grow to love you and live a life so abundantly, running towards the prize of Christ!

God, thank you for Grace. God, may I extend it to those around me, to the precious little beings you have entrusted me with.

May I never forget that ultimate sacrifice of love you made for me, and may that love flow from me to my children. Lord, help me love them beyond myself. Love them the way that only YOU can.

I will take hold of the strength you have given me and press on toward the hope that is found only in you.

I will love my children, I will teach them your ways, I pray that they see your great love for them and walk in your ways.

I leave them in your hands Lord. That is the best place for them to be. Better than being in my own hands, hands that are not worthy, hands that are weak. Only you Lord are worthy.

He's the same yesterday, today, and forever....

As I think about the decisions our nation's leaders are making, God reminds me that in a changing world, HE is the same.

Spring Has Sprung!

Spring is finally in the air! We went to the Botanical Gardens on Saturday to see their Tremendous Tree houses Exhibit. The girls had so much fun. It was a great day to get outside and enjoy the sunshine!
