Well, Mike was alot quicker at fixing the hole in our ceiling than I was at updating you on it's progress! He had it patched in just a couple of days a midst a busy busy schedule ( can you tell I'm proud?) He made a fun morning of it with our friend Mark. I think they did a really great job. Enjoy the pictures!
Now, all we have left to do is popcorn the patch. Which we are not looking forward to :(Ok, ok! Yes we are alive! I have been hounded (really by only one person and you know who you are!) about falling short on the blog updates. I haven't even told you about our Passion conference with our church. Really, I'm still processing all of it. It was such an awesome trip.
I will post some pics up soon. Here are a few taken of our visit with my MawMaw Mason. We visited her in the nursing home last week. Emma always likes playing with her walker! But on this visit she was busy showing mawmaw her monkeys. Mommy monkey, baby monkey, and little curious george all came along (that's what she calls them).
Mike and I leave in the morning with 40 or so college students from our church for a conference in Atlanta called Passion. Please keep us in your prayers this week. It will be from Monday thru Thursday. You can visit the link I have listed on the right side of my blog if you're curious to know what this conference is all about.
In a nutshell ...... it's about a passion for Jesus.....God used this conference hugely in my life (back in 1998 and 99). It taught me more about what it means to walk closely with the Lord, to abide in him, to enjoy him, to be passionate for him and most importantly to share him!
It is a huge answer to prayer that Mike and I get to go together with our church. John and Peggy have so graciously agreed to keep Emma for the week. And believe me, Emma is so excited to stay with them! I'm sure there will be lots of pictures to share when we get back. So, for now.......

These are a few pictures that Emma has taken with our digital camera. Maybe a future photographer? At least I know what to get her for her 3rd birthday! Thankfully they make kid proof digital cameras.
We saw this day coming. With as much stuff as we store in our attic (work things and other various items we've held on to through the years), we knew eventually we'd end up stepping through the ceiling! Now, of course this moment was not funny or amusing at all at the time. Mike being the handy man that he is will be fixing the ceiling with Mark today. I just thought you all would like to see some pics of our "hole in the ceiling" as Emma calls it.
Well, the drama has come to an end! This morning, Emma and Mike surprised me by waking me up with baby Jesus in their hands! And you'll never guess where he was "hiding". In her play kitchen microwave with the donkey (not the one in this picture)! Now, I said I searched this house up and down.....and I could swear I looked in that microwave! Well, baby Jesus was found just in time. I'm putting the Christmas decorations away this weekend, sad to say.
Even though I'm always tired after the whirlwind of the holiday, it's always sad to see Christmas come to an end. We hope you and your families had a wonderful and blessed Christmas. We love you all very much and you are always in our thoughts and prayers!
