Emma's First Letter!
While I'm sitting at the computer, Emma's sitting in my lap doodling on some post it notes. I hear her spelling her name E-M-M-A, I look down and this is what I see. She just wrote her first letter all by herself, she even knew it was the letter A! We've only been working on letters for a few weeks now, mainly just tracing and letter sounds. So this really surprised me! Thought you would all like to see her first attempt at the letter A. She gets an A+ in my book :)

Attitude Training
"Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." Prov. 4:23
Around our house we are going through an "attitude training" of sorts. A dear friend loaned me the book "To Train Up a Child" by Mike and Debbi Pearl. It has been a fountain of knowledge and wisdom for me. These days we're addressing attitude alot around our house. To me, attitude is alot more important than the action. And we are really trying to impress the importance of having a cheerful and respectful attitude when it comes to doing something mommy and daddy have asked us to do, not whining and complaining. With a strong willed child, each day proves to have it's own challenges and God continues to teach us all alot through them. Me? Mainly patience, endurance, perseverance, dependence on God for EVERYTHING, and the importance of continually lifting up my little one in prayer.
This book has been a very helpful tool to me,but as is the case with most books some parts you take and some you leave....... But it is very scripturally based and a quick and easy read (about a 100 pages). Thanks Aubrey for letting me borrow this book!
If any of you have any books that you have read or would like to pass on any helpful tips that were successful for your bunch, please feel free to pass the info along!
